The specifically designed SustainaBib strap is recommended for use with the bib for optimum results. However, SustainaBib seamlessly and effortlessly fits into your existing clinical set up. Any Bib chain can be used with SustainaBib, although we do recommend a silicone or metal chain due to the weighted nature of the bib. A coil chain may stretch as the bib moves. Depending on your chains clasps, deeper claws may cause marks on the bib.

The weight of the SustainaBib is approximately 1 kilogram which can provide the required pressure to trigger nervous system responses, lowering heart rates and breath rates while anxious, therefore reducing anxiety.

This is solely dependent on the care taken with the product as well as your clinical guidelines. The bib can withstand the heat of an autoclave as well as its surfaces will not be negatively affected by alcohol or disinfectant wipes. Damage sustained that may deem the bib unfit for use would be due to human force causing rips and tears that cannot be properly cleaned or if bib chain claps deeply pierce the bib hindering proper infection control.

No SustainaBib is not absorbent as it is entirely made of high-grade silicone. A tissue or gauze may be required after mouth rinses.
